AICUF-ALMS Sacred Heart College Thevara Trust
AICUF–Alumni Movement for Society a non-profit organization registered as a Trust (Regn. No. 122/2020) looking forward to a peaceful world, by helping each other, to join hands together, to bring a better future for all those who need our help.
We are a group of men and women in mid forties, re-joined together in June 2020, more than two decades after we left University studies, with a determination to support children in need and offer service to mankind.
Inspired by the spirit of solidarity acquired during our College days from AICUF – ALL INDIA CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY FEDERATION – a movement of University students, we have formed an Alumni named AICUF-ALMS (ALMS stands for Alumni Movement for Society).
AICUF in its form today, came into existence in 1949, has its roots as CYMG (Catholic Young Man Guild) established in 1924. It is one of the oldest student organisation in India, helping students to cultivate a deep and genuine concern for the oppressed and marginalized.
Since the 1950s, AICUF has aimed at developing leaders, professionals and administrators to influence public life with positive values and building a student community dedicated to truth, service and social justice. Social outreach is a key highlight of AICUF activities.
It gives immense pleasure to state that several eminent personalities of our society were once, active members of AICUF.
We are blessed to be spiritually guided by Rev. Fr. Joseph Poonely Ex-Principal SH College Thevara) who was Chaplain of AICUF Sacred Heart College, Thevara.
Shri Kurian Joseph (Honourable [Retd.] Judge, Supreme Court of India) is our Patron.
Shri T.V. George (Senior Advocate, Kerala High Court) is our Legal Advisor.
A panel of Advisors (who were closely associated with AICUF in the past) guide our path.
Message from Chairman of the Trust
